P3 Putter

HOW THE P3 PUTTER WORKS

The concept behind the P3 is to help train you to use a proper pendulum putting stroke. The key to great putting is to reduce the unnecessary movements in your putting stroke. The P3 will train you to putt using the major muscles in your shoulders and upper arms and eliminate the unnecessary movement in your wrist and hands.

The P3 has three settings, making it easy for you to develop the correct feel for the pendulum putting stroke. You will start with the P3 attached to Your Own Putter and have the two P3 handles set to the widest setting. You then begin to practice putting holding on to The P3 handles. By having you hands apart hanging from your shoulders you will quickly learn the feel of a pendulum stroke.  You will learn to use your shoulders moving back and forth and your putter becomes the pendulum, just like an old grand father clock.

As you spend more time with the P3, you bring the grips closer together towards the center. Although your hands are getting closer together they are still apart, which eliminates the use of the hands and wrists in the stroke. Once you are comfortable with the new feel of your pendulum stroke keep The P3 attached to your putter, but hold on to your putter’s grip and practice your stroke.  If you break down with your hands or wrist, one of The P3 handles will hit your forearm, giving instant feedback. The end result of practicing with The P3 is a consistent pendulum stroke without the breakdown in your hands and wrists.

Operation: Attaching the P3 is a snap. It basically clamps right on and you are on your way. The whole kit breaks down and fits into the included bag. You could easily spend 5 minutes with it on the practice green, and get your confidence back before you hit the first tee.
